|Non-Invasive Breast Cancer|
|Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) of the breast is a heterogeneous group of lesions with diverse malignant potential and is associated with a range of controversial treatment options. DCIS is, by definition, non-invasive or preinvasive breast cancer and is classified as a Tis lesion in our current staging system (Stage 0). It does not spread through the regional lymph nodes or by vascular invasion and thus does not spread to the rest of the body.|
The diagnosis of DCIS is made by screening mammography 90% of the time. Read more here.
